Teacher Program without TEFL qualification

The program begins with a four week intensive TEFL training course followed by one semester as a language teacher (total of 6 months). The program consists of two components:

Training & Orientation - This is where applicants participate in a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) training program where they learn skills required to teach English in a Chinese school. It also provides an orientation to China and basic Mandarin skills. The second part of the program is the,

Teacher Internship - This is where the participants are placed in a teacher role in local schools in China to work for an agreed period of time. Participants live, eat and breathe life as a local in China, where they receive the rewarding experiences of educating students a skill which we take for granted (English Language). For the Teacher Internship, participants are placed within a school where they will undertake the duties of a Teacher Internship. This will require them, at times, to teach classes by themselves which they will prepare for during the training period. This gives practical experience to the participants to live, prepare and teach programs independently. Participants have accommodation, meals and a remuneration package included!

Teacher Program with TEFL qualification

This program was designed for the participants who already have TEFL qualifications, however just wanted the work experience and practice for teaching English as a foreign language. This program begins with a one week intensive course to familiarize participants of their environment and a review of their teaching theory.

Training & Orientation - Participants being with a review of the teaching theory their TEFL certification already has started them with, along with an orientation to China and basic Mandarin learning.

Teacher Internship - This teaching period is where the participants are placed in a teacher role in local Chinese schools to work for an agreed period of time. Participants live, eat and breathe life as a local in China, where participants receive the rewarding experiences of being a teacher in China. Participants also have accommodation, meal and a remuneration package included! This teaching period is to consolidate their TEFL training in a supervised and encouraging environment to become independent teachers of English as a foreign language.
