Accommodation
We will arrange your accommodation according to your budget and requirements.
We will place you in temporary accommodation upon your arrival for the first 4 weeks. The temporary accommodation costs approximately 500 Euros.
Once you are in China we will help find suitable accommodation for you during the 4 weeks. This ensures you can personally select accommodation you are happy with rather than being forced to choose something from overseas that you might not be satisfied with.
Accommodation is conveniently located close to the school, shops, restaurants and transportation.
All types of accommodation will be equipped with a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, internet access, TV, air-conditioner and bathroom with hot water.
Accommodation Types
Single Room in Shared Apartment (subject to availability):

Located in residential buildings, you will live with others in an international atmosphere

You will have your own private bedroom. The apartments are simple but furnished and equipped

Excludes meals. You can use the public kitchen in the apartment to cook meals yourself

Kitchen comes equipped with fridge, microwave, stove, pans and cutlery
Private Studio Apartment:

Live on your own or with friend/s

These apartments are usually in residential buildings. They are clean, private and comfortable
Single Room at Home Stay:

Host families are screened and selected by our professional agents

Most families are located closely to public transportation

Most home stays are currently located in Beijing

Home stay families will at minimum speak basic English. Our staff will assist with communication

You will be required to teach 5 hours of conversational English per week with the home stay
What is a home stay?
Home stay is a popular form of cultural exchange in which you stay with a local family to better learn the local lifestyle and improve your language skills. It also allows two cultures to learn from one another.
Staying with a host family will allow you to learn a new language and culture and at the same time introduce you to a new way of life.

Home Stay Ambassador Program
The Home Stay Ambassador Program goes hand in hand with our Mandarin and Culture and China Internship programs to provide a unique and alternative living experience in some of China’s most renowned provinces.
A home stay enables you to share daily life with a host family, learn a new language and culture and at the same time allows you to introduce your own way of life to an interested and willing family. As a fully integrated member of the family, you will cook, eat, shop, watch T.V and explore the community to get the full experience of how the Chinese locals live.
You will be given the privacy of your own bedroom for the duration of your home stay and 2 meals per day are provided.
Working closely with our host families, the Home Stay Ambassador Program can be catered around your needs so you can get the most from your experience.
Whether it’s staying with young professionals, a family, studying Chinese or teaching English, we can tailor make the program to best suit your requirements. The Home Stay Ambassador Program provides the perfect opportunity for participants who want to be fully absorbed in China and its entirety.

Currently the majority of our home stays are available in Beijing, China’s Capital City.
Rich in culture and heritage, Beijing provides the perfect environment to live in and learn first hand one of the most fascinating cultures in the world.
We also have a number of limited home stays available in Shanghai, China’s cosmopolitan and rapidly developing City. Here you will have the chance to engross yourself in the ever-growing economical, financial and fast paced lifestyle that Shanghai throws at you.
You will be provided with full information on your host family prior to them meeting.
All of our host families have had an interview and security check to ensure you are provided with the best possible experience. Though some families may have Basic English compared to others, all are eager to welcome you with open arms, to give you a new home and a truly unforgettable experience!

Home Stay Options
We have two home stay options, which can be added onto to our existing programs, providing an alternative living experience. You can opt to teach conversational English to your host family to reduce the cost of the home stay.
Teaching English to your hosts will also allow you to improve your communication skills, enabling you to share cultures and form strong bonds.
Home stay with teaching: For this option, you will teach 5 hours of conversational English to your home stay family.
