What Will You Choose?

China has a varied and multi-faceted culture. Although China is modernizing there are still many customs and behaviors in Chinese society that you may be unfamiliar with.

Experiencing as much Chinese culture as you can will allow you to become fully immersed into China.
See below for a selection of optional cultural activities. If you have any specific activity that is not included on the list, please contact us.

Chinese culture classes

Chinese Tea Ceremony Course:
Discover the world of tea as well as the customs associated with it.  

Chinese Cooking Course:
Learn how to make traditional Chinese snacks and dishes.

Handicraft Course:
Learn how to make traditional Chinese handicrafts such as kites, Chinese knots, paper-cuttings etc.

Shanghai Dialect and Cantonese Course:
Learn how to hold basic daily conversations, such as greetings, asking directions, shopping, ordering food, catching transport etc.
Leaping gorges and fighting like some of the toughest animals in the world all start from Tai Chi, a form of relaxation and self defence.

You can learn some techniques to help improve Qi Gong and one’s self.

Calligraphy and History class:
We learn to write like the ancient scholars of China, in our calligraphy and history classes.

We see one of the man-made wonders of the world, up close and personal; experiencing its history and story whilst climbing and conquering the only man made structure visible from space!

In the heart of the Beijing City, we experience the former imperial palace housing 999 rooms! The architecturally splendid and culturally rich location is the beating pulse of China.

Local Hutong tours:
The traditional communal style of living has still been preserved by a handful of locals, and we take a sneak peek into their lifestyle to witness true ancient Chinese living.

798 Art District:
Aside from the traditional artistic and cultural history of China, China also has a newer, fresher and contemporary side of life. We will explore new Chinese art and trends from around Asia.

Summer Palace Retreat:
We will explore the great Summer Palace retreat to which olden day emperors went to escape from it all. The beautiful and luscious scenery is all surrounded by a stunning man-made lake.

Amazing Acrobatics:
Aside from China’s architecture and history, the people make China, China! The Chinese are some of the best acrobatics specialists in the world, and we will watch their world renowned performance in the spectacle known as the Chinese acrobatics!

Watch the Chinese Opera and become immersed in its colour, music and culture.
